• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Saw it on another post. Really funny feel a bit for the sales guy but too funny..!! :roflblack::roflblack:

I might be wrong; is that a V-6 model?
I didn't see the opening up front just under the hoodline that denotes the V-8 cars... :dontknow:

I am going to go with no on that one Bob. A guy I work with has one with the 6 in it and "ain't no way that there is a 6 banger."

No doubt; it sure RAN like a well-spanked V-8...
But even the small engines are filled with 300 hp or so.

In the blink of an eye he went from I'm calling the cops to.......wannadoitagain! :doorag:

Liked that

Lots of emotions in that one. Felt a little empathy for the salesman--he turned out to be a good sport though.

They did the same thing in a movie called Used Cars many years back. The salesman died of a heart attack in that one.

I was going to say the same thing Bob, 6 has plenty of guts, although if I ever bought one, I definitely would want the 8 :thumbup:

The V6 pumps out 323hp. The 6.2 SS pumps out 426hp at 420lbft torque. Now if you want the track ready version then the ZL1 turbocharged 6.2 is what you need. 528hp at 520lbft of torque. The manual 6 speed has torque control to keep from spinning the wheels on acceleration. The dealer I use has one in the showroom. You cannot test drive it. GM sent these to dealers by lottery.

I saw a segment on the morning news that also alluded to the video being staged. I have to admit that it does look that way. Especially when you look at where all the driving took place.

Staged?

There is no doubt in my mind that it was a "closed course." The roads were empty except for the one car, a plant I'm sure, and they had been hosed down. Also they had cameras staged at the warehouse. The part that wasn't staged in my opinion was the car salesman. That was pure fear on his face during the test drive. If he knew what was coming then he deserves an Oscar.

Personally, I think the whole thing was staged with the knowledge of the salesman.

You pull a stunt like that with someone and he has a heart attack, then what!

I can see the staged part for safety purposes. When he drove up the ramp, I am sure he knew what was on the other end.

The salesman was real good if that was an acting part.

Well okay then...
I don't feel so bad about this at all...
