It seems most of the highway peg solutions for the Spyder involve placing the pegs up and over the curved splash guard. This doesn't work for me. It feels like I'm squatting on a low toilet and my hips are more prone to cramping. I simply cannot stretch out with this set-up.
So I tried this. I bought a pair of Lamonster FBB mounting brackets, switched them left-to-right, turned the upside-down (so the lip points down), attached some pegs I had and, VOILA! Combined with an Ultimate Tall Boy seat, I can now stretch my legs out and down. It's a little splaying, but I'll try this for awhile. I can always take off the splash guards and turn the pegs around to point inward.
