• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Patience, Patience, etc.

I am still waiting on an answer from BRP on what kind of deal they can give me on a 2012 Limited, as I have been Spyder-less for five weeks after having a blown engine with less than 4000 miles. They have agreed to furnish a new engine, shipping date unknown. Len and Kevin at Cowtown are very helpful, but there is only so much they can do. After investing a lot of green-backs in the Spyder, which I have really enjoyed since March of this year, I am beginning to get a little disappointed and testy. The engine evidently spun a bearing which did a lot of damage. This caused a loss of oil pressure, etc. There, I have done a little venting, and thanks for listening. :banghead:

Other than someone at the factory has to break protocol (and spend a few extra minutes generating paperwork to move an engine from the line to the service side of the business), why does it take so long to receive a part (an engine in this case) when the spyder model is current?

Yes, you are very patient. To have to wait five weeks just to find out if something is going to be fixed while the problem gets bounced around from person to person--or worse--sits in someone's in basket because they don't want to deal with it--is way out of line. When someone spends $25,000 plus and cant drive the :spyder2: for weeks on end--it makes me want to rant on and on. But I wont.

Once they figure out what they are going to do, then it will be more weeks before they get you on the road. There has been a pattern here when major mechanical issues happen. I hope that BRP will take these issues into consideration. What has happened to taking care of the customer in a timely manner?

Yours blew up at 400 miles, I know of another that blew up at 86 miles, and a third was posted about a couple days ago. Less than 300 miles--he did not even make it home from the dealer. IMO: That early on in the sales process should warrant a new machine immediately. BRP should be taking those machines off the customers hands and they should be in the shop to see what is going on. Oops! I ranted a little more than I said I would.

I am a bit shocked, normally Cowtown has a lot of pull with the BRP folks.

I am sure everybody at Cowtown are doing all they can about the situitation. They are on it just about every day with BRP, and I have confidence it will be resolved, just taking some time.
