• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Passenger USB ports dead - any ideas on why?

I installed USB ports on left of passenger seat in 2017 Spyder RT in the cut out. The outlet seems to be dead but I cannot figure out why. I do not know which fuse to look for. I can think of a couple of causes:
1. The plug just wore out.
2. The wiring has came undone.
3. Something I can't think of.
4. I was trying to install a carpuride W603D and could not get it to work. Can't figure that out either. Would auxiliary power found in the left side of the Frunk and the power to the USB ports be on same fuse? Maybe I shorted that. But what's the fuse. I cannot find the answer.

I cannot remember where I bought the outlet set except somewhere I got the instructions on how to install it and wire it.
I can find replacement parts but, if it is a fuse, that's the simpler issue. If I get a replacement. I need instructions for replacing.

Check and make sure the wires aren't on backwards. Maybe they need switched. + to -, - to + only thing I can think of now.

I take it from your message that this worked at one time, and now it doesn't.
Your fuse boxes are in the frunk. If yours has the liner, then you need to unzip it to see the fuse boxes.
Pull the covers off and the fuses are marked for what function it covers. You can pull the fuse to check it. I use a multimeter set to resistance as not all fuses that are bad are visible. No resistance = bad fuse.
If unsure which fuse to check - check them all.
One more thing. Did that usb connector come with an inline fuse? If so, that is the first fuse I would check.

THE QUESTION ABOUT the inline fuse is a good one. If there is one, and I don't recall if there was, it's under a lot of Tupperware. Thanks for your suggestions.

Yes, the unit did work. SO it has to be a fuse or it just went bad. It's 4.5 years old. Also, had about 45K miles on it. My girlfriend used it to charge her iPhone and sometimes her intercom. She does photos and videos a lot so she kept it plugged in. Still, I'd think it would work. We were careful to close it when not in use.
