• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Passenger Heated Grips

I'm curious if anyone's Passenger grips get as hot as the riders. My low rider setting is WAY hotter than the hi passenger setting. I took it to the dealer for the 600mi check up and they said it was fine. I got the bike back as I was leaving out of town so I will deal with that later. I can't even feel the heat with summer gloves on.:dontknow:

They definitely do not get as hot. That being said, thre are a couple of things you have to understand about them. First, the switch works differently than the front. It is not merely "High/Low", but a continuous control. To reach the higest setting, you have to push the high side multiple times. I don't know if "push-and-hold" works...it does not on most of the Spyder controls. Second, the grips do not heat unless there is actually a passenger in the seat. The seat switch needs to be engaged for them to function.

Thank you for the info:bowdown: The dealer couldn't tell me this. I asked about the wiring under the seat. One said it was for a heated seat (NOT!!!) and the other said it's for the air ride. I will try them again

The wiring under the seat is for the passenger seat sensor. The wiring for the grip switch is under the panel that the switch is on. It is accessible by removing the rear side panel and the battery access panel.
