has anybody removed the passenger hand holds? and if so, did u have to unbolt them or cut them off?
No where in my first post does it say I was taking them off.I simply asked if anyone had. Also, until someone else is making my payments for me,what I do with my bike is my choice.
As the question asked, "Why do you want to take them off?" They are there for a purpose...SAFETY! With the Spyder not being a leaning machine, the passenger has to lean. The bars are there for the passenger's safety. Before you take them off, take a ride as a passenger with an experienced Spyder rider, then see if it makes sense to remove them.
Well said. :agree::thumbup:There is currently another thread discussing the tone we take with one another. I think this is a great example of a post sounding condescending and somewhat insulting to a person that is innocently bouncing ideas off of a group that has been, otherwise, helpful. Capitalizing all of the letters, along with the exclamation point, are the same as yelling at this person. If he solicits an opinion--which he has--then post your ideas without sounding as though you are scolding him. :chat: We all frequent this site in the interest of hearing and sharing of new ideas, not to see a grumpy old man point out our poor judgement. nojoke

Well, I'll tell you what. You want to call me a grumpy old man, have at it. If one cannot understand my concern for another Spyder rider's safety, knock yourself out and get yourself hurt or killed. After all, it's your life and your Spyder. He asked for an opinion and I gave it to him. If he doesn't like my answer, then he shouldn't ask. And my capitals and exclamation point was in no way scolding him, but was meant as an important point. Take it anyway you want to, I have had my say about this thread.
It's just as easy to be a "jolly old soul" as it is to be a "grumpy old man".![]()
