There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Passenger Comfort

Help me out here will ya? I ridden conventional trikes about 60K miles, 1800 Gold Wing Hannigan and now Ultra Classic Harley CSC, both of these are very comfortable for the passenger. Does anyone here have any experience with passenger comfort? We do a lot of riding now, while we are still working, and hope to do a lot more when we are both are "really retired". My question is how will the passenger feel after riding a couple thousands miles in a week? I'm really looking forward to owning a Spyder just for the sportier riding but the SO has to be comfortable.
Thanks,
Dwight

I rode as a passenger on the wife's Spyder for a short time. It really did not work out for me. It was okay for a short trip (under an hour) but any more than that and I would be in misery. My legs are long and the passenger riding position is not as good as the driver's riding position. She has ridden on the back of my Spyder a few times and I haven't heard her complain but I don't think she would like to ride there for thousands of miles. I'm sure she'll pop on here to give her 2¢. ;D

My SO has been riding the pillion for over 40 yrs. and loves the Spyder. The back rest is a must. Made one of my own that may be available to others in the next few months, since I waited over a year to get one from BRP. I would recommend road pegs for you so the SO can have your pegs once in a while to stretch the legs. 4 1/2 yrs until we "really retire" and we plan to spend our time touring on the Spyder. Significant miles are no problem for us, but this depends on your size, body type, physical condition, accessories installed, the right riding gear for conditions etc., etc. Ryde Safe and Enjoy

Thanks guys.

My SO has also been on the pillion seat for 40+ years. She is short and small and the backrest is a must! I haven't seriously tried to buy a Spyder yet, we have no dealers in KS, plus I wanted to wait on the electric shift model. She is caught up in a warehouse closure and can't retire without losing a significant amount of severance pay. She is old enough but that big chunk of money is keeping her on the job. I retired from my factory job 4 years ago and have a part (nearly full) time job as an instructor for a Technical School. We also have a toy hauler that will accommodate my HD trike but we really prefer to ride from home. The toy hauler we will use as a base to ride in one area for however long we want after we are "really retired". I'd still like to hear from anyone with rear seat time, as we age comfort trumps style!!!
