There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Parking Brake

I park on a small incline behind my business and have noticed when I leave it in first and set the park brake I am getting a slow roll backwards. I can turn the bike off, release the park brake, and reengage and it seems to hold. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong. Is their a way to adjust the tension on the park brake? Don't want to walk out the back door and see my Spyder in the road behind me. Thanks for any help. I have an SE-5 by the way.

With the SE-5 the trans won't hold the bike so leaving it in first doesn't help. I do you have the RS or the RT?

Yes, the parking brake can and should be adjusted. The procedure depends on the year and model of Spyder.

Parking brake adjustment video?

I was poking around the forum yesterday and saw a procedure for adjusting the parking brake for the RS. I just looked for it again, but couldn't come up with it.

Does anyone else out there know where this is? I think it was a video...

Found it!

Go to Media, select Spyder Tech and Mods on the right side of the screen, go to page 2 and it is on the 2nd row down. Hope this helps.

With an SE5 it's wise to keep the park brake adjusted. Also, get in the habit of locking the handlebars. That way, if the brake does slip, the Spyder won't roll very far. Angling the front wheels against a curb on an incline is good practice, too.

Sorry! It's 2009 RS SE-5
That video should work for you then. The brake should be adjusted to catch firmly within 1-3 clicks. It helps to thoroughly clean the mechanism on the left side and lubricate it with WD-40, silicone spray, or a dry teflon spray lube before you start. The cable should also be cleaned and lubed at the hub end. The system should be cleaned and lubed periodically (especially after a heavy rain or riding through mud), for best performance and release.
