Hey Leon. Looks like the Mods merged your new thread into an old one which also had an intermittent motor problem, which you don't have. Not exactly a good fit, plus we changed pages, but, that's OK, we'll work through it. Regardless, start simple and work your way up. As stated above, low fluid level also causes that light to stay on steady when the parking brake is disengaged, 99% of the time, that's the only issue. Top off both chambers in the reservoir (see Pic), check the diaphragm under the cap to ensure that it hasn't expanded out (push it back in if it has), check the floats that they aren't stuck. After that, it is simple enough to use a multimeter to test the micro-switch. Because your motor runs just fine, it is probably not the electronic module.
After a time delay, you may receive the orange Brake Failure Screen in the center display. Don't turn the key off. Pull up the code at that point. C0049 is Low Fluid Level.
