Has anyone ever had this type of issue with your parking brake. I have a 2016 RT Limited. Two weeks ago I had this issue for the first time. The parking brake with the semi-auto has to be set before turning off or the buzzer will sound until you set the parking brake. Mu issue is, I set my brake when turning off but the buzzer sounds anyway. I've checked several times. You can turn back on and off, the parking light stays on and the buzzer sounds. the light stays on when the ignition is turn back.
The only way I've found to solve this problem is to disconnect the battery terminal. After you disconnect and reconnect that seems to resolve the issue, at least for a day or so. The first time I had this problem was around 8 days ago on a Sunday. When I got home I disconnected the battery so it would not frain. Called the dealer to set a appointment the next day. That morning when I reconnected the battery the issue went away, that was until today. Lucky when it happen today I was in town and drove right to the dealer to show him the problem. His answer, huh! Have a appointment set for Thursday. Doesn't sound like to me that he has a clue. I don't have a lot of faith in this dealer but, he's the dealer close to me.
My question is, has anyone ever experience this problem or heard of it as to where I can give this dealer some kind of information to start. I think it's some kind of electrical disconnect of some kind causing a misread read on whether or not the parking brake is set when it is.
Any information of help would be great!
Thanks.....
