• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Does anyone have any pictures of it installed on their hitch. I am thinking about getting one. I am planning on getting a BRP hitch for my Rt. Can't afford a trailer right now so was wanting to get the pakitrak for extra stuff.

Thanks, Lois

I am thinking about the harbor freight trailer myself cant afford all of the BRP stuff. This looks to be the same price as the pakitrak that I googled.

Lois, like you money is an issue for many.... All the RT after-market Hitches that I have seen " THAT ARE BOLT THRU AXEL DESIGN " will work just as well as the BRP one. And Value Accessories ( site vendor ) has the wiring harnesses to finish the set-up.......and I agree with " alOvely " and the Idea of the Harbor Freight trailer frame and wheels set-up........You can find a Sears Cargo-X box roof-top carrier at a garage sale for CHEAP .... This set-up will only weigh about 150 lbs ( vs BRP @ 240+ ) ....... The rear carrier you are thinking about RESTRICTS you to 40 lbs ......TOTAL WEIGHT .... that includes the weight of the CARRIER ....... So imho 30 lbs of stuff isn't much......... Good luck.......Mike

hi, i have one

Hi, i have one, and it works well, but, i do not have a pic of it on this computer, and I'm not very good at posting pics, ha,,, but i can take a pic of it on my I-phone and send it to you. will that work for you?

Have to agree...

I have seen many Tag-Along trailers and DIY with the roof. Many color matched to the spyder and at that price you have to wonder. Never really liked the trailer hitch carriers. Your limited as to what you can carry due to the motion, heat and road grime. But for the short runs I guess it is fine. JMO....

I searched the website http://www.packitrak.com and couldn't find this product or much of anything else. :sour: Looks like they are not very busy.

Ok I have decided to get the harbor freight trailer. Can I buy the show chrome harness and be able to wire the trailer up to the RT using it.

One suggestion for the Harbor freight trailer

I suggest that you use nylon-lock nuts or double nut for the tail-lights. Or else they will come off and that is trouble.
:yikes:

At the dealership having the cam am hitch installed this is the first step to having my Givi maxi case on my Spyder its big enough to hold two full face helmets And is lockable will post as the process goes along

Keep in mind that what ever you put it there will get the crap beat out of it. every bump the rear tire sees goes directly into the hitch and is amplified by the length of the hitch. I pull a Bushtec and have had to replace broken bolts in the tounge and the bottles in the cooler break.

Use packing bags they make it easy to pack. I pack in a small bag socks and underwear in a medium shirts and sweaters then in the large pants so if it's gets bounce around no big deal the main thing it's waterproof lockable and just pick up and carry into the room
