Painting a Spyder RT

I am planning on buying a 2015. I am hoping they will come out with a blue in the RTL. If not, has anyone painted a full Spyder RT, I would love a blue metallic colour like Huntington Blue by Chip Foose. Do most of the body panels remove for painting? Any idea of the cost for a great paint job? The cost may make this impractical but I am just exploring my options.

Red paint job

At Spyderfest a young lady had her Red RT repainted to a GREAT new Red color. She mentioned the cost at over $2K.

For sure..!!

you can disassemble the tupper wear and have it painted. Price will vary to where you are the shop the color etc. Check around custom shops or paint and body shops...:thumbup:

I saw a gorgeious custom red paint job, on an RT at a local dealership. Total cost was about $3,000, and a lot of that was in the labor to pull all of the Tupperware...

I was recently told by a local specialist in bike mods that it would be "at least $1500 or so" if I pulled the tupperware.

I hate my white and want to get the OEM Viper Red on it.

Will be getting my 2014:spyder2: rts wraped in a week with a light blue metallic from 3m. we are having it done at a shop here in Georgia for $500 great thing is it protects original paint and easy to change if decide to do something later. Has a 7 year warranty

Give it a couple weeks. Maybe...you will get lucky on a blue color. I was going to paint my black RTS, but got lucky and they offered my color of preference on the new 2014. Yellow of course. It does appear that a kind of candy apple red may be coming. (per spy photos). :yes:
