• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Paint issues on 2023 RT - poor paint/clear coat quality or just normal? Anyone else?

My 2023 RT Limited is showing streak like marks on the top of my mirrors and on a couple spots on the trunk.

Is the paint quality or clear coat poor on the Can Am products?

Anyone else?

My 2024 RT Sea to Sky doesn't show any streaks in the white paint, although it is a bit dirty at the moment, and definitely needs a bath.

Very soft paint with-out any clear coat as far as I believe.
I've seen better quality finish on a metal scoop shovel!
If I ever buy another Spyder, it will go to a body shop for top clear coats before it hits the roads.

Not a big fan of BRP paint, It's why I painted my access covers.

Just normal removal and replacement of the access covers left the paint scratched and had fingerprints all over them.

Once I painted them with a different paint (Behr interior/exterior metallic blue spray) I haven't had that problem anymore and they look great no matter how much I handle them.

Key being I let the paint cure for about a week, then soaked it with some graphene spray wax and buffed it out.

Starting in 2020 fit and finish, and paint quality seemed to have gone down hill. Complains of too easy to scratch etc. I would never get one of the matte paint finishes.

Vehicle factory paint in general has taken a turn for the worse in the last several years. Companies must account for every particle of waste put in the air and the water so low VOC paints are the norm these days. Durability and in some cases quality suffers.

Well, I had an appointment 2 weeks ago with the detailer that applied the ceramic coating, and he canceled it on the day before. 2 weeks have gone by, so I decided to get an opinion from another detailer. Within an hour he had the bad spots looking great again. The black plastic parts are NOT painted, so this is why there is problems with ceramic applications on them. Ceramic bonds to clear coat, not so well on plastic parts.

Needless to say, I am happy again with my 3-month-old Spyder RT Limited and it's looks.
