• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Hello everyone, I'm Spydar, I have a 2018 F3-T Se6, with about 2400 miles on it, I got it in December and have put approx. 800 miles on it so far.
It started not wanting to switch gears like when taking off from the light.... hopefully this solves the problem, they intend to replace module...
Thanks, not sure how often this pops up..

Thankfully this issue is not common - but it does happen to often .... Some of the newer year Spyders seem to have this happening much more frequently than pre-18 yrs. .... Hope they will do it under warranty ..... Mike

I have recall information that I got from this forum. I plan to take it to the dealer. The recall describes exactly the problem I'm also having. The transmission shifts fine, automatically, but will not shift into reverse, or downshift, manually. Initially, it will shift into reverse, but after riding for a bit, it will not downshift, manually. Upshifts are fine. When I stop, I often can't shift into neutral, or reverse.

Yup, that's a know problem wit the 2018's as far as I know, both with the F3's and RT's. They have to replace the whole left hand multi function switch. I know because I have exactly that same problem and I've been waiting since last Oct for the switch to be released by BRP. I spoke with the dealership just this afternoon and the expected release date now is in July. Only the gods know if that will come to pass.

I guess I'd better get my order in!

I guess I'd better get my order in!

In Oct I brought my bike in and they diagnosed the problem. They were telling me there was a chance the part would come in earlier. They told me at the time it might arrive in Dec. In Dec the expected arrival date was June. In June the date had changed yet again to July. I guess in a way I got lucky. Since I live in an apartment with no garage, and it was coming up on winter and too risky to go for a ride anyway, I pretty much got winter storage for free. But this week I finally went to the dealership and picked up my bike. They are going to call me when the part arrives. The Tech told me that part was invoiced for me, so I didn't have to worry it would be given to someone else. In the mean time I'll have to remember not to park anyplace that required me to back out. :)
