There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Paddle cllip holder for cane

Anyone use a paddle clip holder for cane on top of RT trunk? I have a fold down cane but do not like it because it is hard to take apart after using.

Let's see....

I also have one of those that when you release the holding strap just pops together and just pulls apart easily to fold and store. But if you prefer a full cane there are several places to put them. Your idea should work well or along the passenger grab rails.

Folding cane. Uses shock cord like a tent pole. Bout $20..

^^ Ditto - never have problems with pulling apart either, just keep the mating surfaces clean & occasionally give them a wipe with some vaseline.

I was warned off (by the local cops) using a clip or two to hold it anywhere that I could grab it while riding.... apparently that could make it an offensive weapon!! :dontknow:

im with the fold up guys .only trouble is its not adjustable and it needs
a seat on top of it to lean on. :D

My mom is in the hospital and I rode up there today and had to figure out what to do to bring my cane with me. So I laid it across the passenger seat and zip tied the handle to the passenger hand grip. One tie and it worked perfectly.

Only when you fill one end with lead. Mighty handy.

..... fill one end with lead....

Gotta be verrrry careful doing that to one of the shock-cord type collapsible canes. Swing it quickly & suddenly they extend far more than you ever expected (or planned)!!

But all up, still a far better option than putting a Welder's chipping hammer down the front of your jeans!! :opps:  Doing that will pretty much always sort the men from the boyzz if you fall off! And it'll work as a guaranteed nut-cracker... or at least give'em an instant soprano voice!! :roflblack: :ohyea:

Found a paddle clip holder it works

Found a paddle clip holder at Walmart, a taco type. Mounted it to back trunk it works well, add safety stock cord. Went riding this weekend both days over 200 miles and it worked great. Sorry no pic. yet still learning how. Thanks for all of the info.:yes::yes:

Wife has a folding cane, height adjustable. Even before getting the SpYder, folding it became difficult, so cleaned the insert points, added a drop of WD40 and voila. Works great.
