• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

P1614 is in the House!

Nope; no cramp buster...
The dealer said that he can fit me up there anytime this week to try and give it a jumpstart with some BUDS...
And no extended warranty either! :gaah::cus::gaah:

I hope it turns out to be something much simpler than we all think! :sour:

The original Throttle body system was replace in June, 2012; I'm pretty sure that whatever warranty was on the warranteed parts has died of old age by now... :banghead:
I actually run a cramp-buster on the left grip to help out with numb hands while riding...

It's too bad you are up against a deadline.
I think since the original was replaced you might be able to make some sort of deal but it would probably take a lot more time than you have.

I was thinking the same thing. It's not like they don't know they have issues.

Sad news..!!

was really hoping it would pass with a reset. Time being an issue makes it a hard decision. Hope you find a viable solution. Good luck..!!

Bob, good luck and I really hope you get it fixed quickly. You may have to wait to argue your case with the powers that beat BRP as the important ones are at the big party in Florida.

P1614

My 2011 RTS SE5 has been in the shop since Sept 4th for the same thing :banghead::banghead: Waiting for parts. Fortunately, mine is covered under extended warranty :ohyea: I hope it's ready for Bikefest Las Vegas Oct 3.:pray::pray::pray::pray::pray::pray::pray::pray::pray::pray:

It's worse than THAT; I've got to convince the Missus that the bike sn't a huge hole, into which we throw our money! :yikes: nojoke

She's a bit more than discouraged...

Time to trade and tell your dealer they need to sharpen their pencil a lot. I won't mention something else cause I think you already know. I do feel your pain.

Chris

The Missus isn't quite as "patient" as I am about these sort of things...
I used to joke about Harleys selling more pickup trucks than even the best salesman... Now I guess turnabout has become fair play! ;)
I doubt that she'd want to pop for a new bike; if I assume that there are BIG changes for 2014, that's already a risky issue... (Buying a first-year effort again!)

I would have agreed with you until my last long ride. Wrist got very sore and I used cruise control quite a bit. It seems the grips are a little small for my hands. Cramp buster has turned out to be a very inexpensive but effective fix. Ever try one?

TricLED has some slip on foam covers that make the grips a bit bigger. I put a pair on this weekend and have not had a numb hand since... the bigger size does take a few miles to get used to.

Thanks JT. I may have to try them although I suspect that my Cramp Buster may end up a bit small to fit over them. Worth a shot though...

Why does everybody seem to live so far away from me? If you were closer u could use my RT. It has sat in the garage for months. It needs a good riding.

Damn Bob.... Sorry to hear this. This is the one issue I worry about with my 2011.
I am keeping my fingers crossed I never see this issue.
Like some said I would argue that it was replaced once, is not suppose to be a wear item, and should be replaced again since it is a know failure that should not happen. I hope you win your argument with BRP!

Bob

This Might Turn Out Better Than I Could Have Hoped...

I showed The Missus the sneak peek pics that were up, and she said to make a deal on a 2014...
I almost passed out; ALMOST!!
Anne, you and I have got to get to our dealers early this week!

At my age; I'll admit that my dreams could be about almost anything...

But she confirmed that I have a green light to try and make a deal! :ohyea::yes::ohyea:***

*** Pending her paproval; of course!
