• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Just an update on our Quest. Some of you already know of our "Adventures". Here's an update. Left home last Wednesday for Spyderquest. One hundred and ten miles out hit a bump on I95 and my left mirror came off. The upper "latch" broke. quick fix with a small bungee. Good as new. Stopped in Carlisle, Pa. for the night. Next morning we were off. I leading, Kris in the rocking chair and Dan running tail gunner. Stopped at a rest area. Kris' bike started then immediately shut down. The dreaded orange light of death. Walked away with the key. Restart was good. Eighty miles out from Lake George stopped for fuel. Same reaction from her Spyder. Head out, ten miles down the interstate she calmly says "my winshield just came off". The bracket broke. I remove the windshield and throw it in Dan's trailer. Another bungee on the support. She does the last 70 miles without a windscreen. Gotta give it to her. She didn't loose her cool until we got to the hotel. Saturday, we get the bike to Progressive. My suspicians confrimed. Bad throttle body. No Parts. Karen at Progressive has been really great at helping us. She opened a case this morning and has been in contact with BRP. Haven't heard back from BRP yet. At the earliest, looks like we're here until Wednesday morning.Another big shout out for the folks at the Comfort Suites. They have been really great. Kris explained to them our predicament and they have given us the group rate until we leave. If you're coming this way and you need a place to stay, this is it. The owners and staff have been more than generous. This is without a doubt the best and cleanest hotel we've stayed in in a long time.Stay tuned, mtf.

Even with those problems, you're still having fun...

Just goes to show how awesome these Spyder's are.

Put you up, into another level of joy... ;-)

 Jim,
Please let us know how this saga proceeds... Good Luck!
Glad to hear that the Hotel Folks have been willing to step up to the plate for you!
;) Does this mean hat Kris is getting an early Christmas present this year??? :D
When you head back South; have you got a Route planned yet?

Rough road..!!

Have to commend your group for facing it all like true bikers. Duck tape, zip ties and bungees are a must. Really glad you found good people along the way. Hope your stay will be pleasant and your on your way soon. You all are real troopers..!! :2thumbs:

Bob, will probably head south on 87 and hook up with 84. Spyder folks are the best. Kris is better at communicating face to face than I am. She has been talking about the issues all weekend. There were a lot of folks at SQ who knew about the problems. Many have been supportive. Bob D. even offered the use of his Spyder if needed. Not many people would do that. That's just the way Spyderlovers works. Talked with the dealer, as of 4:30 Karen still hasn't received a response from BRP as to whether they will cover the parts. I wanted to clarify that the mirror that came off was on my Spyder, not hers. Also, that last 70 miles she had to drive was in strong, gusty, cold wind. So tomorrow will tell the tale. we'll just keep plugging along here.

In the old days, it was the missus panty hose, or if she was dressed for the races, her fancy silk stockings.

Thanks for the update. Bridget was wondering as well.
BRP is generally pretty responsive. You should be OK.
Our thoughts are with you and Kris.

87 to 84??
You're in my neighborhood!!
(Well... with maybe a 28 mile detour...)
We'll talk! :yes::ohyea::yes:
And if you meet up with Bob, let me know as we are close. Since I was so busy doing allot of behind the scene work, I could not get out like I would of wished, Ron
