There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I found all my Spyder stuff and here is the deal:
The Spyder Ryder 2.5k cards like the one shown in this thread were sent out with the large maps that showed where all 2,500 PE Spyders were and the first names of each person.
These cards were only sent out to PE edition owners, and they were sent out before the Spyders even shipped. I can't remember when these cards and maps showed up - but it was either late last year, or early this year - and they all shipped out at the same time.
The owner Pins and strange black embossed cards were shipped out in June 2008.
I believe the Pins are for everyone. I know the 2.5K cards were ONLY for PE owners. I would think they would have a regular member card for non-PE owners.
I also know that if you bought a PE edition that someone else backed out of - there is a good chance that the person who originally put the downpayment on the Spyder received your Map, 2.5K card and your 1st owners jacket.
I don't know of any use for the owner card.
The map is a pretty cool idea.
The pin is a neat idea too.
Still no info on how to get mileage pins.

I picked up #3266 April 15, 2008, been wondering if BRP noticed, several emails & no answer. Today, September 18, 2008, I got my owner's ID card and pin, I'm beginning to retract some of my bad thoughts about 'em. Always used to tell my wife, "I'll never be a doctor, I have no patience." They said 2 months, only took 5, imagine that.

Is your Spyder a PE unit?
I'm wonding if anyone that isn't a PE owner has received anything from BRP.
It took a few months to get my jacket. The pin and 2.5K card showed up in June - not sure if that is late as I wasn't expecting it. My BEST warranty card took about 6 weeks.
So I guess what I'm wondering is what are non-PE owners supposed to receive?
Any non-PE owners out here that got a pin, card, map, etc... ?
