• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Overheating solved

Our 2012 RT ran hot in heavy stop & go traffic right up to the red on gauge. Flushed system several times and replaced with Engine Ice antifreeze & coolant. Also wrapped exhaust pipes from heads to cat with header wrap. Problem solved 🤞 now the highest it gets is halfway between mid mark and bottom of red zone. Also no more rough idle when hot. 👍😀

VERY CAREFULLY remove radiator drain plug and drain system. Refill with water. Let idle a few minutes. I did this 3 times to make sure all the conventional antifreeze was flushed out. Fill entire system with ENGINE ICE ANTIFREEZE AND COOLANT. Google to find out where to get it. Order enough to fill entire system, cannot be mixed with water or any other antifreeze. A bit pricey as this stuff is made for racing engines. Use straight from jug. Also hose radiator fins and clean with soft brush. Don't forget to add to overflow tank. Good luck

Hey thanks for the info on Engine Ice Antifreeze and coolant, is this actual Evans ? liquid which has a boiling point much higher then normal Ethylene Glycol antifreeze?
Also I actually design and installed 8 inch radiator fans on the oil coolers of my 2009 Can Am SE5 GS and my riding buddy's 2011 RT SE5 along with electrical added to OEM's original design which allows, when selected, both fans to run half speed all the time and full speed when OEM's require fan cooling. We live in a area where in the summer we may have several weeks over a hundred degrees F. This with out exception has proven a great improvement especially when in stop and go traffic keeping the heat down in the three and four bar area when the temperature is in the 80 to 110 in our riding area. My buddy on the RT SE5 just leaves it selected all the time during the hot summer weather.

I like that idea of half-speed (quieter) fans. Can you either post the plans here or send them directly to me?
