• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

vblock from my long standing email

vblock from my long standing email address, taken from a tool/fixture I made, when I became a tool & die maker long ago.

I've carried my name over from past forums that I used to haunt when I owned a couple of old Fiat Spiders. I am now another Spyder rider, just spelled differently!

Mine is kinda Korny but I had to think of something quick when I signed up.

A =A
Y= SpYder
4= for
B= Bill
:rolleyes:

Yesterday we were riding to our Saturday breakfast. One member was late and catching up, went into a curve too fast, locked the rear wheel on his beautiful HD. He slid 100' and the bike went 200' according to the sheriff....broke his clavicle, six ribs and lots of rash. He is in ICU but talking. I am sad.

George, I'm sorry to hear about your friend and I hope he heals quickly and completely!

As for my name, it's simply me; a loner who can't stand populated areas or situations.

My avatar is an old one I've used for many years. "One" of my other hobbies is "G" scale trains, in the 90's when I first got on a forum, I was building a model of an engine used by the British Columbia Electric Railway. The engine was numbered 960. so, I used it, and have ever since.....

Engine: model

I am a child of the Star Wars era. Each morning, I help my neighbors by getting their daughter on the bus. I did it as well for her older brother when he was younger. And well, I feel kids should laugh on their way to school...

My personalized plate is "INSPYT", my user name is one version of how we were going to spell out the plate.

We were planning for a couple years on buying a Spyder and just as we were about to buy, I was on the verge of being laid off due to job relocation after working there for 35 years. That was in December 2014. But things worked out, found a job within my company and everything worked out well, still working today. So "in spite" of all that was happening, we still got the bike (now i have two).

I grew up riding horses, so when I went to motorcycles naturally they were flying horses hence Pegasus. The 1300 came from the Yamaha V4's I rode for25 years. That would be a great motor for a Spyder.
The tongue-in-cheek Indian name for a Harley is "Thunder Horse." :doorag: Descriptive, eh?

But when a squaw is named "Three-Horse" it's a descriptive of "Nag! Nag! Nag!" :roflblack:

My first forum venture, in the 90s, was rather political, one where no one revealed their true identity. I wanted to at least let them know I was from flyover country, and wanted to be upfront about my gender. (Some were not...). I even concealed my occupation, just like on here - HA!
