• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

OUR NAMES

for years when i had my house in upstate ny, and my cousin and her 3 kids would come up, they called me cousin john. so i just cut ot a little short and came up with CUZNJOHN. it has been my name since then, and the kids are all on their own, but still call me that.

as i read through some of the post on SL, one thing that catches my eye more than anything else, is; OUR NAMES.... :yikes:
as with mine, i choose SPYD3R, which is what we ride, and i decided to reverse the E and in its place, use a 3, which is for the 3 wheels that we ride on.... :ohyea:
what i'd like to know is; where did the rest of you get your SL names...? are they 'made up' or 'nick names' from your childhood, or something your wife/husband calls you...??? :coffee:
some of these names are AWESOME and very creative... i'd like to know, if you don't mind sharing that little secret with the rest of us here on SL.... :chat:

Because My Honey and my friends all agreed, "Well, you didn't have a mid-life crisis, but you're DEFINATELY having a LATE LIFE CRISIS. So, at age 66, I guess they're right! :dg2: SL Name: LATELIFECRISIS :dg1: My Tag: L8nLIFE

Got tagged as Big Guy...

... by a lot of friends but most consistently by my boss (a really nice gal) at my college. I'm bigger than most of my friends so the nickname stuck - and I graduated high school in '66. I was also called Santa by high school friends but that name was already taken - by the real dude St. Nick, Santa Claus, Saint Nicholas... so I didn't stick with it.

Well, Quasimodo was a hunchback. And it seemed most days when I got off the bike I had a knot between the shoulders. Hench the name Quasi. :)

Netminder, when I first started working in IT I figured a good online handle would be a play on " (Inter)net minder" and my love of the hockey position " Netminder" :ohyea:

I use "Prairie" as a prefix for IDs and screen names on several sites. I am from prairie country and wherever I have lived I always most identified with this landscape. I identify with it and it identifies me.

My scoots color, so my name is Mr. Cognac. When I had a red 2011 RTS, I was Big Red 1. My email is scoot62 as I started using email in 1962 and the name of my bike then was "Scoot". I know I am not very original, but I am 84 and do as I please.......:roflblack:

:spyder2:
Yesterday we were riding to our Saturday breakfast. One member was late and catching up, went into a curve too fast, locked the rear wheel on his beautiful HD. He slid 100' and the bike went 200' according to the sheriff....broke his clavicle, six ribs and lots of rash. He is in ICU but talking. I am sad.

Born and raised in the Idaho mountain region and returned to Idaho after retiring. Of course I ride a Spyder hence the combination.

1st initial & where I'm from. My initial became a nic name everywhere I worked & just stuck then came internet &email, so rather than adding numbers I did location & after few people tried pronouncing is as a proper namenojoke(try it) :roflblack:it was fun to keep. Is now me, fun fyi my avatar is my one & only successful drawing art attempt bout same time.
So I've incorporated the two as my own permanent logo if you will. :firstplace:

All in the name....

I stole mine from the Andes Inca tribes...There was a call and answer in spanish we used alot when we were kids and this name stuck with me.....chupaca should not be confused with that Star Wars character I was chupaca before star Wars was invented and the spelling is different....
