• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

OUR NAMES

I bought a Kawasaki Voyager in 2014 and rode it to Colorado to visit a family member. On the way, I discovered just how heavy that bike was when I couldn't keep it upright (times 3) at a stop and then I couldn't pick it back up by myself. I thought of having it converted to a trike, but once I became interested in Spyders, I quickly converted.

I choose scooterexpress because I started out ryding scooters instead of motorcycles and i'd join some groups that were all m/c so as i grew with the time I got faster and faster scooters soon I was on on a Honda silverwing 600cc and I was out running all the guys on there bikes so I said to all you can call me scooterexpress beep beep!.. also to all those out there that like the name they given themselves remember you can have that tattoed on your existing tires of your spyder if your going to be at spyderfest come see us well hook you up with our tire lettering and also install them for you. if your not able to come this year you can always email me and we can send you what you want and you can place them on your own very easy to do just a little time consuming.

My name comes from the rifle I shoot: REMINGTON 40X. The manufacture is Remington (obviously). The model is a 40X which I use as a competition rifle (IR50/50). Very accurate and not made anymore.

On NASCAR, Darrell Waltrip would refer to Linda Ronstadt song "Blue Bayou", as in he "blew by you", my first spyder was blue, thus the name.

The obvious choice

Well, I have been through a lot of automobiles and bikes in my 33 years of vehicle ownership (27 cars and 13 bikes). But the one that I have probably owned the longest and pledge to never get rid of is my 2002 lightning.

I guess mine kind of explains itself.

Our son has made a career in the Navy and is in his 16th year of service. That's him on the right getting a pat on the back for being a leading recruiter a couple of years ago. He is currently in Guam repairing submarines. Our riding friends tagged us as Navy Mom and Navy Dad years ago and the names just stuck with us.

Have ridden motorcycles all my life, had a little red headed daughter that road with me every time she could from the age of 4 on up, she is now 30+. She used to ask "want to ride the cycle daddy?", then I hit the 220 pound mark and added the Fat to the front of it as a joke and it stuck even though I am well below that 220 mark now.

Back in the day I was 340 Lbs being 6'4" I was Large it stuck So I was the Large One, Now at 260 I am still larger then most, Hence Large1.
