• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Other brands verses the O.e.m. Tires from BRP?

Michelin, Yokohama, Arachnid, General...etc. I am using a 215/60/15 Michelin on the rear and 185/60/14 Generals on the front.
HI,
How do the Generals on the front handle?

I notice that you are using Michelin on the rear of your spyder.

Any difference between the two?

Next riding season ( next year) I will be needing to get new front tires. I am would like to stay with the Generals. If they still have the Generals I will get them, ( ordering them in February so I can have them installed, because my spyder will be still in Winter Storage) then I will be ready for the riding season WOHOO. By now I assume you've used the search method as suggested. I went with the General Altimax as well. 215/60/15. Great riding tire and the speedometer is now correct too.
I am also running the General Altimax RT 43 215/60R15,on the rear of my spyder, I am happy with it, and no issues. The spyder handles well on dry, wet, dirt, gravel roads. Awesome tread. I am thinking of running Generals on the front tires.

The original tires Kenda have 10,300 miles on the front.

I just replaced my rear tire with an Arachnid MC Tire. There were some problems with these tires when they first became available from what I was told, but suposedly they have corrected the issues. I have a friend who put one on his bike and got 14K miles out of it. That is all he uses now on his and his wife's bike. I'm hoping mine will do as well.

When I bought my Spyder in June she had 8500 miles and the OEM tire was to the wear bars. I pushed it another 2000 miles but just before a long trip I replaced the OEM tire with a car tire. I just went down to the tire service center I usually go to and told them what size I needed, he told me about his best tire and I bought it he mounted it and I couldn't be happier. I noticed an immediate improvement in handling from the stiffer sidewalls. It still rode just fine, but when I pushed it in the corners it no longer felt mushy. With 5000 miles on the tire there is no visible wear.

So they mounted it for you? Did you have to remove the old tire/rim for them?

yes they did and balanced it also. I now have over 5000 miles on that tire. I think it handles great and shows no visible signs of wear. I did not measure the tread depth when new, don't have a depth guage but it still looks good.

Yes I did just take them the wheel/tire
