• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Original warranty transferrable to a second owner?

Can anyone answer with certainty if the 2-year warranty that came with a new 2015 F3-s automatically transfers to a second (or third) subsequent owner? Is any paperwork at time of resale necessary, or does the VIN stay in BRP records and run till time expires, regardless of ownership?

If a used Spyder is bought at the dealership, they should do the transfer. If bought from a private owner, the new owner contacts BRP after the new title work is completed. BRP needs to see the new title work and they will transfer the leftover warranty. This also includes the B.E.S.T. warranty.

The seller should give the buyer his warranty paper work. This way the new owner will have the information he needs to make the transfer.

Bottom line: The warranty stays with the bike.

For the simplicity of loopholes there is bound to be paperwork involved. Just to keep it complicated & give them a way out.

(My opinion, no facts) good luck

I wasn't there but I still care! POW /MIA VETS

It used to be you could fill out and mail in a card that was in the back of your owners manual. That's all I had to do when I bought my first Spyder.

Warranty transferred for me

My 2014 RTS was originally sold at a Hendersonville, NC dealer in Sept 2014 and I purchased it a year later. I had the Marietta dealer transfer the warranty at no charge to me but I don't remember what paperwork I provided.

The original 2 year warranty was transferred, along with the extended warranty. I asked for paperwork demonstrating the warranty was mine and was told it was in the BRP computer. Months later I had some warranty work performed at no charge to me.

Hi motoswami,
The warranty follows the Spyder, not the owner. Any dealer can check warranty status using the VIN of the vehicle. It's important to have you ownership info updated at a dealer when the Spyder changes hands to ensure that we the right ownership information in case of a claim - I've seen things take a little longer when a claim was made if the current owner doesn't show up in our system.
Hope this helps,
Steve
