• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Orange Screen of Death

On a ryde 60 miles from home when the orange screen of death rears it's ugly head.:gaah: A check of the codes, C006C & C0063, ECM VSS CAN Rate Messenger Error and VCM Yaw Rate Sensor Failure. 2016 RT-S with 1800 miles. Had it towed to the dealer, any idea from the Spyder Experts out there what I should be expecting from the dealer. It's covered under the warranty but I'm new to Spyders and don't want to be BS'd. Thanks for the help.:(

It's unlikely that all this failed at one time. It is likely that a loose battery connection has caused all this. Please open up the manual and follow the instructions to get to it to check.

As to being Bull Sh*ted, it will all depend on your dealer.

BATTERY CONNECTIONS

If it is the connections at the posts...... I highly recommend putting STAR washers ( teeth inside type ) on the bolts before you tighten them ..... If you do they will NEVER get loose by them-selves NOT EVER.........Mike

Not too late for BS

Now that several responders have given you the likely source of the problem you'll be able to see if the dealer gives you BS answers or not . Right off the bat with those codes he should suspect a bad connection and know where to start troubleshooting .Believe me ....I know about bad dealers . Good luck on a non Bs"r.

I don't think that it's a loose connection to the battery...
But it could be a loose connection from the yaw rate sensor, back to "Nanny".
She got a messed-up reading from something that was loose, and it tripped her up.
That's my guess, and I'm sticking to it! :D

Time for a new Yaw Rate Sensor most likely but not the only possibility. You don't hear about them failing often.
