An says brake failure.. Code is c1282.. Check fluids an all is full to the top.... Any help???

Don't know about the code

Mine did that when the parking brake cable slipped out of the front pulley. There is a switch up front that can get messed up when that happens.

The shop-manual states the following for your code:

Brake failure (low pressure indicated); Possible hydraulic brake circuit leak. Check hydraulic brake circuit for leak.

In other words... it is sensing low pressure in your brake system; whereby the most typical problem is a leak of sorts.

Can't tell you the fix, sorry to say.

hi! i had the same probleme,,,, i just open the 2 caps of the oil brake canister,,and push with my finger the small plastic pieces that float on top,, and the light dissapeer !
then the nex morning the light came on,, so this time i just sit on the bike and bounce it and the light dissapeer,,,,so i put a little more brake oil in the one who seem lower then the other and nor probleme sinced then,
i talk to the mecanic men in garage and he said ,there is sensor for oil if too low,,,in container,,,so soon the brake pad are getting smaller then oil go down in container and the light came on,,,,

make sence to me!

Mine is full to the top and I've already had to be back pads replaced 2000 miles ago. I will check the flow and see if that makes a difference.

Be absolutely sure you aren't riding the brake pedal. If not, see your dealer ASAP, this can be very serious. Be careful on the way to the dealer, your brakes could fail suddenly and completely. This is not something to guess at and play around with.

I am 100% sure that I am not riding the brake pedal.. After I go threw the gears I usually put my feet on the passenger foot rest.. It helps my knees when I do that... Taking it to the dealer in the morning....
