• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

option for just a bit more storage

I have the BRP saddlebags on backorder. I hear they're really small. They're probably fine for a weekend, but if I'm out for a week or so, I'd like a bit more storage, so while we were looking at some other things yesterday in a MC shop, I found this. It's not huge but I pack pretty light so this would do for a week. It velcros onto the passenger handgrips with no kit-bashing required. It comes with a high-vis rain cover. http://www.saddlemen.com/ftb3300-sport-trunk-rack-bag-universal

So how much is that in gallons Mike...??:roflblack::roflblack: seems to be the standard measure...nice tail pack..:2thumbs:

1 cubic inch equals 0.004329 of a gallon, so 0.004329 times 3500 = 15.15 gallons. I know you were kidding, but it got me curious, so I did the math. Oh 15.15 gallons = 57.35 liters!

The BRP saddle bags add 13 gallons of storage, so it appears that this bag is bigger than both saddle bags combined.

THANKS FOR THE HELP

Math was never my best subject :roflblack:......And I didn't have the conversion table ....so I presented what I could .................So to understand correctly BRP's ...RT side bags are approx. 6.5 gal EACH ? ? ?........Mike

Nice bags to help with the storage option for gear. I like that it appears easy on/easy off. Use it when you need it, and leave it home when you don't.

The RT's are bigger I do believe.

absolutely -- there are 4 velcro tabs that wrap around the passenger grip. There are 6 tabs total, but the spyder doesn't have anything else for the "bacK" tabs to attach to so I left them alone. I think you can see them at the bottom of the bag at the back of the driver's seat. Can't get much easier than that.

Another option is a Raven from T Bags

Thanks for the info on the bag.

I seen one made by T Bags called the Raven and it looks very similar to the saddlemen and you can get a expandable top bag for it also. I do know T Bags are made very well.

Is Saddlemen a good product?

it seems to be well made and looks like it will hold up. There's something in their literature that says holds up to decades of use. Time will tell. This is my first exposure to it.
