• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Optimal shifting range for the 1330

My 2 cents worth.......

I have noticed that when I first start out in the morning----I shift all gears at 2500 rpm. That produces a clean/sharp shift with no delay or clunky noise. As the day wears on and the temps of the oil/water & air heat up, I find that to produce these same clean/sharp shifts requires a higher rpm---2800-3000 rpm. Yes, I check my oil very often and it has been changed per the maintenance schedule. I have also noticed that at times when I shift, the machine wants to delay the shift and fall flat on its face before picking up the rpm's and going. That usually happens at rpm's in excess of 3500. Not sure what that is all about. Does not do that very often so am not planning on taking it in to the dealer just yet.

What bothers me more than that----I can't seem to get this downshifting "down". I find that, in order to not get a clunking sound, I must let the throttle go all the way back to zero and make sure the rpm's are below 2000 before pulling the rear paddle. This works great. Anything else is a guess at best---at worst a lot of clunking. I would think that to be very hard on the belt.

Anyway, that is my 2 cents worth.

Have a great day, all.
