• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Opinions Needed on Windshield Arm

Yellowstone

Last year when in the middle of May, I decided to go to Yellowstone, I called first and they told me the roads would be cleared for travel on July 1st.
I was in AZ on my trip west from N.E. OH. I ryde a 2016 RTL. Paige,AZ was snowed in too. You may want to wait a little later in the year to travel in that area. My total trip was just about 9500 miles. The Spyder was a great ryde.

I was told to back off from the bottomed, or top most point, as that is when jarring from road surfaces will cause it to break.

The north rim of the Grand Canyon doesn't open up until sometime in June.

NHTSA deals with safety issues; this one is just an annoyance. When it breaks: it's not going to hit you... nojoke Having the windshield break loose from the bike isn't a Safety issue :banghead::banghead::banghead: ...... and your an INSURANCE salesman :banghead::banghead::banghead: ...... Than what is it ..... COSMETIC :roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack: .... Annnnnnnd why do you think it's not going to hit you :dontknow: :gaah: ..... jmho ....... Mike

It doesn't "Break loose" from the bike: it folds down against the upper wind deflectors that are tucked along the bottom corners of the windshield.
And when that arm broke on my 2010 RT: I had the 27" windshield in place. It wasn't even close to hitting anybody! nojoke
So why do I think that it won't hit me? Because it didn't.
Think I'm lying?? Pop the center strut loose from YOUR bike, and see where the windshield ends up laying... :D
