• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Opening the front storage area

On my 2013 RTS I had a rocker arm that set the parking brake rocking forwards and opens the front area rocking to the back. On my 2014 rt ltd I can the set parking brake by rocking forwards. There is no switch there to open the front. My question is can I make my 2014 work like my 2013. If yes where can I find out how to make the changes ISD

Look in the BRP accessories catalog.

 It's been a while since I've looked, but I don't think that the switch is still available.
It was discontinued as standard equipment in 2014... :banghead:

Supposedly; NHTSA got complaints about folks trying to unlock the frunk, and inadvertently releasing the parking brake.

easiest way to open the trunk is to run a hidden wire from the latch
to the l f tire well. works a lot easier than the key. that's what i use
all the time now and you're right there to open the lid. no pressure on
the key, either. irv toms :D

I guess it's not in the accessories catalog. I thought it was. You can buy the actuator and switch as parts though. They're shown in the 2014 RT parts list for the front.

i buy the wire a 1/4 mile roll at a time. use it for hanging parts in the booth . cost
1 or 2 cents to make the opener. part # not listed in the brp fiche. very cost
effective. :roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::yes::yes::yes: irv

also pretty galvanized silver color to match the trim on my "s" [no perverted remark, bob]

thats an rt--s:rolleyes:

I did it

Hi I have a 2014 RT-S. I installed the switch and actuator. I don't have the part number but will try and find it for you. It is a pretty straightforward job and doesn't take too long. I did have to get with Witt at pitbull and get the switch with the color that matches the 2014 as the one that comes in the kit is for earlier models.

You got the Blue one...

The part number in the 2014 Accessories Catalog:
219400185
"Front Cargo Electronic Unlock"

FYI my understanding is you can no longer the get kit as an accessory.
If you want it you now have to order the switch and the solenoid as parts.
FYI the switch will be older colors (blue) and won't match. BRP never made the new colored trunk switch. That's what I have been told anyway from people that recently did this mod.

I have one

Hi Bob,
I got the kit from powersports warehouse last year and you are correct the switch is blue. It is still available. I didn't like it and Paul Knudsen gave me the part number for the yellow one. I got with Whitt at PitBull and he had it now mine are all the same color!
