• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Newbie ryder. 2019 F3. I have a warning "open rear storage" on dash, have closed and locked top case and saddlebags, still warning will not go away. Any ideas? Thanks!

Check to make sure the switch is making contact with the post. It was a known problem that I thought was cured. Tom :spyder:

I have this with my F3-Limited. There is a small metal tab that needs contact with the top case. Some suggested bending it slightly so there is contact and others used items such as a ear plug to create the fit.

Had the same problem on my F3T. I took the switch off. Didn't have warning lights on the side bag don't need it on the top box. Got tired of the display on dash. Just Me.

I could never get the closed limit switch on the trunk to work correctly on mine either. I tried multiple things like everyone else and ended up just disconnecting it. Adjusting the position only worked temporarily along with a spacer.
It is a normally closed switch that when activated with the lid closed opens up contacts.

That's what I like, a sound permanent solution.....

Check to make sure both sides of your top case lid is shutting down into the correct position. My left side always misses the correct lockdown unless I push down on the left side. This might solve your problem!

Removing or adjusting the switch is not the best option. Lengthening the post that is on the lid is the best option I have found. the best way It does not need much. a couple of wraps of electrical tape will work but not last. I had a thread on this a while back and someone suggested using some shrink wire insolation to wrap it and a heat gun to mold it on. It gives just enough and is soft on the switch.
