• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Only riders will understand

Kina off topic, but back in 1976 I took a trip from Austin to Stone Mountain GA on my '76 Honda 750 Super Sport for a family reunion. I stayed one night at a mom & pop motel in Mobile. I parked my bike in the room and no one was the wiser.

We once pulled a Polaris Indy 500 snowmobile into a Motel room in Rangely, Maine, and changed a seized front axle bearing. :D

My motorcycle trip through Central and South America I had to park the bike in the room every night if you still wanted it the next morning or hire
an armed guard to guard it all night.

Chu,

I have always wanted to go to Brazil, and I assume that is where you were referring with the 'Amazon' comment. When I was young, I wanted to go to Ipanema (I can't image why?!?!?!?!). Now as a senior citizen, I would like to catch a large peacock bass in the amazon. Amazing what AGE will do to a guy - - -

Wifey just got back from a two week trip to Brazil. Said the food was fantastic, weather was OK (humidity high but not temps) and people were great. She even did some parasailing from the top of the mountain in Rio. Reminds me.....I need to update her life insurance.

Been There Done That....

I used to keep my bike in the living room.... :dontknow: Ok, well, I never started it inside.... :D

I did the same thing with my '80 Honda 750F in Coeur De Laine, Idaho and one other hotel in Oregon on the coast. Hotel managers get pretty PI**** when you and the boys get a block of ground level rooms and five rooms have bikes in them! Mac:roflblack::roflblack:

The best one....

While living in Texas I had a MMRS (mobile motorcycle repair shop) and got a call to do a top end job on a suzuki 400 one lunger. When I arrived I found it in the upstairs apartment. They said just do it in the livingroom. When I was done they fired it up and rode it down the stairs...:yikes: did I mention it had a D&D pipe..:yikes: needless to say I got my money and left in a hurry as the tenants came out from everywhere...

While the vid is tongue/n/cheek, I did see a similar thing is real life. I was a journeyman carpenter for over 20 years. While I was building a horse riding arena in to outskirts of town, everyday at lunch the neighbor would fire up his airplane ( don't know much about about planes, but cessna type) drive it down his driveway, which was about 1/4 mile long, and get the mail from the mailbox. Then turn the plane around, and go back to his house.

When I first moved to Indiana in 1972 I lived in an apartment. My new bike, a 1973 Honda 350 Scrambler spent the winter months in the hallway just inside the front door. No garage.
