One Time Glitch

we were just running some local back roads and a city park yesterday afternoon.
came out of the park, stopped, went to go. was in first gear and felt like i was
standing on the brake. bogged the motor down. put it in reverse, backed up,
back to first and no probs the rest of the day. possible explanation ? pad
hang up? God having fun with me again? we went to church.

Depends....

Sounds like a one time deal. As to why...:dontknow:...who knows. The nanny does not like many manuvers and can retard the ignition bogging the engine or could be a clutch hang-up. If you had no codes or flashing lights and you were fine from then on your good to go You can mention it next time at the dealer and they can check for stored codes with buds....:thumbup:

Starting in 2014 BRP went to a completely different type of clutch in the RT.
If it happens again, you may want to do MODE-SET-TURNSIGNAL Cancel and see if it is returning any codes.
The new Clutch arrangement is smart and has many DTCs it can generate.

exactly how do i do this? read it somewhere. i do NOT have a smartphone
so i cant download your app either. any way to put it in my pc?

That's OK, I don't own a smart phone either.

Pull over to the side of the road.
Do not shut Spyder off.
Press simultaneously MODE - SET & TURNSIGNAL CANCEL.
Your screen should either go blank or display one or more 5 digit codes.
Copy them all down and post here.
