One more week

We sold our house in Michigan and moved out on November 19 but it seems like a year ago. My Spyder has been in Las Vegas since October and I miss it alot so I was very excited to get the phone call yesterday from our builder saying that our walk through will be on January 6th. We will load up the Jetta one more time on Monday and point it west for the long ride to Nevada. This means that we will be able to go on the Frosty Balls Ride on the 7th with Las Vegas Harley. I guess it is a 150 mile ride and all of the Nevadans haul out there cold weather gear and ride in the cold. I may be frosty too since we've spent most of the month in South Florida.

We don't know what day closing will be so it may still be a while before I get reunited with all of my "stuff" and in the meantime we will be staying with friends in Henderson. My worry is that my two Golden Retrievers will think that their 7 Chihuahuas are chew toys! :yikes:

Now I have someone else to go visit in NV. I am waiting for the flight to leave Las Vegas now,
who would have thought the delay would be in Las Vegas and not in Milwaukee. Have a safe trip.

After I posted yesterday I got word from the lender that the appraisal isn't coming back at the sales price and now the seller has 48 hours to come up with better comparables or we may get a discount on the house! Good news but unfortunately it is going to delay closing. We will still leave FL on Monday but we may be staying with the Chihuahuas for a little longer. Not good news for them!

we lived in Las Vegas when I was stationed at Nellis....great place and lots of great riding....make sure you hit Oatman Az....fun town...and shoot out through Red Rocks....you will see wonderful scenery!....cheap houses, great food, more to do than you think....fun town once you get to know the locals and they you.

Oatman is a trippy place! I used to work for a company that had a distribution warehouse right in Kingman, AZ just down 66 from Oatman. Last time I was in Oatman, a Donkey licked the window of my rental car, I would be afraid of Donkey Tongue to the Helmet Visor.

I hope all finishes well! I am working on a Project in Henderson, NV and Mountain Pass, CA too, I will be in Vegas a good bit this year it looks like! My new rentals might have to be spyders out of Vegas.
