• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

On my way to SpyderQuest

We are all staying in Scranton on Tuesday night and getting in to Lake George on Wednesday . . . see you two when you get to Lake George! Have a safe trip.

I stopped in Elizabethtown, Ky, after 386 miles today. I've realized I am no candidate for Iron-butt, for sure!! I'd planned on going to Niagara Falls on the way and spending 2 nights and 1 day there. At the rate I'm going though, I think I'll just meander on up to Lake George and hit the Falls on the way home, instead. If I have the time I may do Skyline Drive on the way. I'll head that direction and then decide.

I got the JT accessory bar and USB power outlets on both sides of my dash. Now I can use my iPhone as a GPS (at least until I remember where I put my real GPS at home) and my Spot device, too.

At Pitbull yesterday I visited with a gal named Laura who was getting an ST. She's from Springfield and had been to Spyderfest before. She's already a GOS member and ready to roll. I have no idea of her SL handle, though.

[Edit] Also, the last time I got gas, I was approached by a man (in Ky) who is from Texas. He said as soon as he settles some other debts, he's going to get a Spyder. He's already test-drove one. I let him know about SL.

Leaving from Cleveland, Ohio Thursday nite. Staying overnight near Buffalo, finishing up Friday morning. Couldn't get time off to leave earlier. This will be the first Spyder event for myself and the girlfriend.

Small world!

Patti,
we met Greg and Chris on Saturday and her son Drew. They said they met a girl and we asked if it were you! Too funny! Safe travels!

I left home this morning & I've stopped for lunch. I'm going to SQ by way of Poplar Bluff, Mo, where JT will install some stuff on my Spyder.

A shout out to the Spyder riders I met when I stopped for gas. They live in Grain Valley, Mo. He's an Aussie. He said he's on SL but couldn't remember his handle. She's in GOS.

We missed you by a few miles. We aligned the Aussie, Greg, and his wife Chris in Platte City in Saturday afternoon. They were excited to have met you.

I stayed at Allentown, Pa last night. Went out this morning & saw a Spyder under cover in the lot. Totally covered so I couldn't tell the color or model or tag.

Also on the road yesterday in Pa, I passed a couple towing a yellow RTS on a trailer, going the same direction I was.

Somewhere in northern Penn. I stopped for some caffeine, & as I walked back out this guy rode up. His name is Miles & he has a '14 RTL, which the dealer had painted & used as their demo. image.jpg

That be us!

Hi Patti,
Wanted to give a shout out to you and say that it was truly a pleasure meeting you last Saturday!
As you can see we resolved the (forgetting) SL login handle issue (Greg) was having.

After meeting with you, we rode up to Platte City and met Joe & Ann from Squared Away to have our rydes laser aligned and we are thrilled with the results, we also had Bad Boy Wolo horns & LED mirror indicator lights installed. Joe and Ann do great work on Spyders - they even provided us dinner - (service don’t get any better than that in our book!), they are a great couple.

Glad to know that your trek to SQ is without (too much) drama and we hope your return trip is equally as trouble free and safe.

All the best in your travels & ryde safe

Take care
Greg, Chris & Drew

Patti,
We are here and there are about 30 spyders already at the hotel. We have been out for a short trip down to Martha's for ice cream, and met several new friends while catching up with old ones. Hope your ride is still going well, see you soon.

Just sayin'............
