• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Oklahoma State University-Oklahoma City to offer safety course for three-wheelers

They're being proactive. Wish more would do the same.

Would like to hear what your thoughts are after having attended.

Lower insurance rates as an additional reward for attendance would be great.

If the course is MSF approved; there should be a discount available on your insurance.
Check with your insurance broker once you've got more information about it, and let us all know.

Thanks for the heads up. Looks like a ride to OKC will be in order. I like the "free" part!

From OSU:

Oklahomans will now have the opportunity to receive free motorcycle and three-wheel vehicle training at OSU-Oklahoma City’s Center for Safety and Emergency Preparedness (CSEP) through a grant from the Oklahoma Highway Safety Office. The Three-Wheel Basic Rider Course will be the first of its kind in the state of Oklahoma.

The course will be offered beginning in April 2013 at no cost to the rider. Upon successful completion, the rider will earn a certificate that waives the riding portion of the Oklahoma “M” driver’s license endorsement test.

Center for Safety and Emergency Preparedness, Public Safety Training Center, 3501 W. Reno Ave., Oklahoma City, OK 73107

That's good news, once OK State has established the course, I'm sure other parties will follow. Hopefully it will become another routinely offered MSF course.

This is a great idea, I hope it catches fire cross-country whether it's for free or not. I took the MSF course from Coastal Cycle Academy and had to qualify on their 2-wheelers. I made it, but just barely. We need a course for older folks like me who never intend to drive a two-wheeler again anyway. I still ride a bicycle just for exercise, but had not driven a motorcycle for over 58 years!
Okay, just so you don't have to guess, I'm 73 years young... :yikes:
