• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I've decided that even thought I'm not a fan of Black Bikes: the Gold trim-work does make it look kind of neat!

What do you think of it? :dontknow:

I rebuilt a 1983 Yamaha Venture from ebay and other places using gold and black Tupperware. The original busted-up pieces were black only. I really like the contrast even though I despise the then-local football team that wore the same colors. No fluer-de-lis emblems anywhere! So yeah, I'm with you on this one.

I was impressed with it when I watched the roll-out and I am still much in favor of it. I am quite certain that it is a matter of taste, and I feel that it was a very bold move for BRP to make this available.

If I was in the market I would go this route.

If the black is anything like the black on the top of our new top case. It really comes alive in the sun. Bob, you should go for it if you like black. But it's a pain to keep clean. Tom :spyder:

Never was a fan of gold wheels/trim. Just looks so tacky to me. I do really like the style of the wheel though. A nice charcoal gray in that style would be money

2018?

I saw on another post the 2018's weren't going to be introduced until the third week of September. Is this 10th Anniversary Edition a 2017 or a 2018?

Being from Iowa and Black and Gold being Hawkeye colors it looks good, but won't be trading off my 2016 for this though.

MEMORIES OF DAYS GONE BY

I remember when Norton did the 750 Commander in that color scheme ..... not the wheels of course back then they were all chrome ....... Mike

I thought this was considered to be an anniversary edition, but still a 2017. I didn't think they had actually issued a 2018 release yet.
I am probably wrong, but either way, I think it is a nice looking bike. Just not nice enough for me to sell what I have for a slight color change and some neat rims.

Have to say it does look nice. Are you thinking of jumping on board and being the first in your neighborhood to have one?

When RT came out in 2010, black was THE color if you wanted the Premier Edition. The next year, black was relegated to the entry level model. I had a black Premier. I do like the gold accents.

My big complaint with the previously mentioned "special" editions was that it appeared all they did was come up with a paint scheme and some additional badges. I still have not heard of a suggested price for either of the three editions. Guessing that they will be $1K to $2K more than the standard versions. For me, not enough excitement to bite this time around.:popcorn:
