• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

ok, so I was thinking again .

I have thought about getting a blue tooth transmitter that just plugs into the headphone jack of the zumo but don't think i really want it yelling at me all the time lol.

It don't yell unless you make a bunch of wrong turns..... :joke: :D :D

Did you read the eighth post in your article Scotty? Sounds like Magellan makes an even better road only model thats cheaper. I would go with the Roadmate 2200T (minus the update he talks about) based on the below quote. As far as the main review and what I know about the XOG, I would agree with what he says about the XOG and the way it works.

I bought the Crossover. Had it for like a little over a week. I don't know why, but mine kept lockinig up and was a bit of a pain, but when it worked it was cool. I did a little research and found that from Magellan you can get an update for the Roadmate 2200T, that makes it into a Crossover. Mechanically it is the same as the Crossover but silver. The difference is it only has the road version gps capability, but with the update it allows all the same functions as the Crossover, and it also has updated points of interest and more recent maps, and a bit different user interface.

I sent the Crossover back and bought the 2200T for about a 100 less. The I bought the update from Magellan for 80. Now I have a Crossover again, with more recent maps, and a MUCH better user interface, for about 20 less.

I've very happy with my GPS so far.

I had missed that one Brian. Thanks! I read this a few weeks ago, and there were few comments then.
