ok all you smart people, i have a question

i just ordered the side fender led's for my bike. i already have the rear fender led's and the flashing unit for directional's also, once i get the side led's i am going to install the 2 sets. my question is, the instructions say to remove the wheel and work from underneath the fender. so a full figured man as i am will find this a problem, so do you see a problem if i remove the fender to work on it. now with the flashing unit. did anyone install one and where does it go. do i need to run wires to each fender for them to operate as flashers. to be honest i really haven't looks at the direction all that much but figured i would ask first. any help would be appreciated, thanks

You can probably remove the fender but you still are going to need to get under the bike to run the cable cleanly under the upper fork arms.

thanks bob, just two things, the fenders on the 14 have a channel with a cover on it for the wires to tap into. than i got a separate small unit for the flashers so i guess when i do it i can always call them at trice and ask them

I just did the front fenders on my 2014. The side amber and rear red are turn signal/running lights. To get the top channel off I jacked the front end up and removed the wheels. The top channel is held on with two Torx screws and 3 - 8mm hex head screws. The front light on the fender is white and I do not believe you can use it as a turn signal legally (it has to be amber). To get around this I changed the two pin connector going to the fender to a three pin so the turn signal wire coming from the mirror could be sent to the fender. I added a third wire to the fender harness and changed that connector to three pins also. Put the dual converter in the channel and wire everything up so the front light is running only and the amber and red are running/turn signal.

Even to remove the fender from the bike; it looks as if the wheel has to come off anyway. :banghead:
