• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

oil ventilation

I bought my spyder used and it has some kind of oil ventilation added to it and I am not sure if it should stay there or if it is doing any good. Here is a picture....
IMG_0466a.jpgAt first I thought it was a oil catch can for the air filter but it looks to me like it just vents the crankcase (doesn't seem to connect with the air filter at all) which I don't think will be much use to the spyder. Does anyone know more about what this is and/or why they put it there.?

Looks like the previous owner was having a blow-by problem, And that was his Rube Goldberg fix, If the Spyder is running fine leave it there it won't hurt anything.....
