Another quick update. The replacement gasket has been installed and it is still leaking from the exact same spot. BRP is suggesting trying another gasket and if that doesn't work a possible engine rebuild. I am very disappointed with the entire situation. Keep in mind this is a 2010 rss-se5 with less than 4k. By the time this is resolved I will probably be looking at next spring. At this point I think I will either try and trade the spyder or sell it.

There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I think the dealer should be letting you have the Spyder while they're waiting for parts. I had a relatively minor coolant leak and my dealer let me have the bike while they waited for the part. And I live in Arizona where you really get a LOT more riding time in during the year, so leaving it there for a week or so really wouln't have been a big deal. You could just put cardboard or something under the bike when it's parked, but at least you get to ride! And if it's that slow of a leak, I'm sure you're not going to do any damage to the bike! In fact, if it were me, I wouldn't even let them have it back until cold weather hit! Just check the oil level now and then. But that's just me. I hope you don't have to give up your Spyder for something that shouldn't be a big issue! Good luck.
I went through the same exact deal. I get small oil drips seems like from the bottom of the bike in the center of engine. The dealer could not find any leaks. It's a 2008 SE5 with 9500 miles on it. I decided not to let the dealer take it apart and possibly cause more problems. I will just ignore the leak. If you can not live with it and they can not fix it consider Lemon Law.
Sounds like your dealer tighten the bolts and clean the
Area off. Why would you need a overhaul for a gasket problem?
Good post, I actually picked up the spyder yesterday afternoon and told them to call me when the parts are in. There is a good chance I will just keep riding it until the snow flies and then have them fix it. I was very angry when I posted yesterday but after cooling off and getting some riding time in I remembered why I bought the spyder in the first place.

If a brand new vehicle is leaking oil and manufacturer suggests engine rebuilt it sounds like a Lemon to me
:agree: Also BRP should send a crate engine, A engine on a new vehicle should not be rebuilt at a dealer.
If should be done at the factory period.

I had this too---- replaced oil pressure sensor--- fixed it.
