• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Oil leak sensor body

The past few months I have noticed oil drops on the floor under the spyder. Took a 2 day 600 mile ride and parked it. After it sitting for 3 weeks while I toured Europe on a rental spyder I came back to a large puddle. Only took about 100 ml oil to bring oil up to middle of dip stick. The last month only consisted of short rides but I have been watching the oil level and placed cardboard under the spyder to catch any drips. Again after a longer ride there was a big stain on the cardboard. Brought to dealer last week. He could not find any problem after a short ride but then had it out for a 20-30 minute ride and noticed some oil drops. It turns out the leak was the oil pressure sensor but not at the threads. The oil was coming from the oil sensor body. He has replaced it with a new sensor and I can pick the bike up Friday morning. Kind of unusual failure.

Bummer..!!

glad they persisted and found the source. They do fail that way in many vehicles and they should watch the suppliers of those parts. Well your good to go and hope that trip was as good as it sounds. Europe has amazing roads...:2thumbs:
