Oil drain plugs

Does anybody know what mm size and thread pitch the engine and oil resivoir drain plugs are?
Looking to go magnetic-----when I change the oil---tonight.
Thanks C-YA RL

I sent for a pair of magnetic Dimple plugs from the USA just over a week ago to suit the 2 oil drain points on my RT. They arrived yesterday and they are metric M12 X 1.25 and M14 X 1.5.

Instead of allen-key plugs which apparently chew up fairly easily these are regular bolt-headed plugs with a rubber O-ring. :D

Thanks That is just the information that I was looking for. C-YA RL

bought one from NWA I think onsite last day at Spyderfest. I just went with the engine plug being magnetic, as the other plug is the oil storage tank. I would think any major metal shavings would be in the engine drain plug area.

I went with a standard non-mag plug from pep boys for the storage tank. I also used their copper washers as well and no leaking so far back and forth to Spyderfest. 2,000 miles already from the round trip plus rides there... so almost ready for another oil change  !!!!

Engine oil plug already magnetic

OK so I found the M14 X 1.50 at Advanced Auto Parts. When I changed oil last evening I discovered that the engine drain plug already had a magnet on it. Soooo I now have both plugs with magnets on them :2thumbs:.
Thanks for the input from everyone. C-YA RL

You found a 1.4 or a 1.5? You want a 1.5

yeah but the engine plug you are still stuck with the :cus::cus::cus: OEM alen head style drain plug instead of a standard socket size.

the mag M14X1.50 that is the one with the magnet sticking out the top?

Lamont looks like he had a typo and fixed it. I saw two different M14X1.50 plugs... one with a magnet and one without at Advanced and Pep Boys. both had same brand of drain plugs. so if advanced doesnt have it check pep boys.

the problem was finding the smaller engine plug in MAGNETIC. I ended up buying the magnetic one at Spyderfest from I think it was from NWA service at the final diner of the event... :2thumbs: they were the Dimple style plugs with the gasket built in.

Included are the Main reservoir plug, a SS M14X1.5 and the Engine oil plug which is the SS M12X1.5.

both are 1.5 correct Lamont? not 1.25 as was posted earlier in this thread...
