• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

oil change on 1330

OIL FILL

IMHO...it is so touchy to get it right ......with filter change .....I just go with 5 qts. and wait until I have actually ridden it a trip or two ....then go for an accurate measure..................If you put in 5 qts. there is no way there is it's too little and can possibly hurt / damage the engine.......I once had a GF who asked me to check her OIL in her car ( 7 qt. capacity )......it was 3 qts. low, now I know she had not put any oil in for at least a year, but it was still running......So I'm sure the Spyder can handle a few ounces low ..............Low is better than over-filling it .............Mike

Capasities....

Manuals always give you the capasity but how you drain and fill can vary the amounts. I drain the oil heated. I remove all plugs and filters. I refill one quart lower than capasity. Start engine and run/ryde till fan comes on then recheck and top off. It's never the same amount...always check the level, don't go by the capasity..

That is what I was thinking. My sometimers was working and I through it was posted to low the amount of oil from the book setting.mount
