• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Oil change gone sideways

Sorry guys, but I wouldn't be too sure that Franco will see these last couple of posts all that soon.... :dontknow:

According to the date/time stamps on his posts/profile (the dtg's in my time zone, but I reckon you'll see the point! ;) ) Franco last posted here on 2022-04-07 @ 08:27 & his last visit/activity to/on the Forum was 2022-04-07 @ 11:34 ..... sooo, he hasn't been here at all for about 4 months, which I guess means you probably shouldn't hold your breath waiting for a response.

My bad, just woke up and I forgot to read the date/time stamp to check for necro threads...

I guess the zombies are out tonight. :ani29:

Not all that bad, just so long as you're not hanging out for an answer.....

But I could well be wrong, maybe Franco's subscribed & is just typing up a response right now.... :dontknow:

Maybe he's still trying to fish that hose out of his reservoir! He seemed pretty focused on that. Me, I would have left it if I couldn't get it out easily. I don't think it would have made any difference at all. Though I have to admit it would have been a mental bother that never went away. It might be worth the effort just for the piece of mind.

I think that just now and again I can hear the faint clicking of a keyboard, but then it may be just my Tinnitus or it maybe just the Crickets.

It would do my head in.

I dropped a cap screw while working on my new DR650 doing the NSU. The absolute first person in the world to do such a thing. Dropped something and it disappeared.

1 bounce and it ricocheted in through the slot under the clutch. Went in without touching the sides faster than a missile up the main street of Baghdad.

I was speechless for a short time. What just occurred? I blinked and now its gone. Then I think I did say something like... oh dear - bother - thats unlucky - :yikes: :gaah: Yeah Nah, not really something a bit more descriptive and I think I may have queried its parentage history among other things.

If I rocked the bike back and forward with enough energy I could hear it rattle. I persevered and managed to fish it out.
