Ohio Couple Killed on Spyder - POLICE REPORT HERE

No comment on this accident, except to say that I am very sorry for this couple's family. I also do not agree with quoting verses from the Bible in this instance. Everyone has their own ideas and belief, and I, for one, capitalize Bible, and God.

What's a matter no photo's of the deceased laying roadside for you to post? Better yet perhaps a morgue shot or two would have been better?

They killed themselves through several instances of lack of judgement, no one else fortunately was involved or injured. Leave their relatives a little dignity instead of posting accident details....................your incredible investigative skills have served absolutely no purpose. What are your brilliant deductions...........wear a helmet and don't drink and drive.

I hope for you that you never are in a position like the children of these folks but if you are I hope that everyone will exercise a little more discretion then you have.
I agree with you, this is only one of several times the dead have had their last moments analyzed in public.

But I have to say something contrary... I hope their families try and make something positive from this by endorsing proper protective gear and absolutely no drinking before operating a vehicle.

Far to many people shrug their shoulders and go on with whatever they want to do. If that's OK with them fine. But let every drinking and/or no gear death continuously challenge their decision such that they can rejustify their choices however they like.

Sorry to hear about any death regardless.

Ride safe guys and gals. It sucks to hear about this stuff.

Regardless of anyone's motive or approach when posting on this thread, my feeling is that we can learn from others mistakes. To do this we need to rationally evaluate cause and effect without demeaning anyone, particularly those who lost their lives. Even negatives can have positive results if handled appropriately.

The reason I wear the correct size and fit full face helmet is directly due to responding to motorcycle accidents during my years as a fireman.

Was I happy that I got to go to a fatal or serious injury accident? No. Did I enjoy seeing people that way? No. Did I take pictures? Yes, when it was my responsibility. Did I form opinions based on what I saw? You bet I did.

But regardless of what, when, why or how, we always treated everyone with as much respect as conditions allowed.

I don't think anyone here intentionally set out to diminish the tragedy of this event. But perception is a tricky thing, especially in situations like this.

They say 'Live & Learn' but the truth is, you really need to 'Lean to Live'.

I assume you capitalize out of habit and respect which places you in the majority. Please try to extend your philanthropy to encompass the minority, those people who have no respect for either. It's the Christian (sic) thing to do. BTW I can read caps without it being neccessary to view them in heavy type, it has been that way with me for the last 70 years, give or take. ;)

Here Here !
While I agree this is a terrible tragedy, and an object lesson about drinking and driving, posting all the sorry details seems uncalled for.

Police Report

I agree:thumbup: water over the dam. Can't change the out come, so lets just let it go. Lets think of the future and enjoy life for what is left in us. Ride safe and watch out for the four wheelers that do not stop at stop signs.

Is that darn horse dead yet?? :gaah: :bdh:

It should be, Bob, but almost anything is better than the saturated coverage given over to the London Olympics, so to turn up here looking for convesation in the hope you can get it is understandable. Intelligent debate used to be the hallmark of the BBC, but during the past week our darling public broadcaster has been reduced 24/7 to bragging at high volume about our athlete's prowess, shown by the "lesser" nation's inferor medal counts.

But all is not lost. The French smell a rat at our unprecedented prowess in the velodrome, during which our cyclists have been leaving other nation's cyclists gasping in their wake. With any luck the Frenchie's overheated suspicions will be shown to have a basis in truth. Oh boy! That should generate an exciting debate; we and the French have a shared distrust of each other, built upon a host of historical events. For instance, we barbequed Joan of Arc and exiled Napoleon. Those will do for starters, so sit back and enjoy...
(Fortunately, distrust only festers, it never completely goes away...) :roflblack:

Joan of Arc was only 19 years old when burned at the stake. Even at that young age she had accomplished many amazing things. A unique story indeed!

Thank's Coz,

I noticed that he is from the UK. which I understand has a large muslim population, And I can only guess that's why he made his child like remarks about God and the Bible [rats ass etc.] in his post, even though no one here said anything bad about "his koran:pray:", Myself...I am not into originized religion, but...I would never make fun of those who are,... Now come on Geoffcee!.. let's say it togeather!...CAN'T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG. all right ;).

I think you may be assuming a little too much.

I appreciate your answer, and I by no means meant it as a slur to anyone. I am just stating my opinion and my belief and I respect your values as well.

:bdh:As a good friend of mine says "choot dat ting" English translation "shoot that thing".
