Went for a ride tonight to run some errands, Kinkos, Ice cream, Pep boys and Walgreens.
Since I got the update, I noticed the Spyder running great. I wasn't getting any coughing at the intake, and less stalling when first starting from a stop. I put about 40 miles on it since the update.
Tonight was probably a circular drive totaling 7 miles. Had the wife with me. We were on our last errand for the evening when she stalled. I was doing about 35, in 3rd gear keeping the revs a little higher than I normally do while puttering around. Had 4 bars on the temp. Just as I let off the gas a hair she had a huge cough at the intake, and died. Coasted to a stop and started right back up. Never had that happen before.
Got her home, let her sit to cool down for a bit. About an hour later I remembered to bring her back into the garage. Started her up, started to back up, when I noticed the oil light was on and staying on. A small rev didn't make it go away. Shut her down, key off. Started back up, no more oil light.
Now I'm a bit concerned. 3 weeks from now is gatlinburg and I'm away this weekend via car so I don't have time to ride and figure out this weekend if this is something I should worry about.
This somewhat normal personality??? I think it is based on some other stories here. What should I look at if anything?
