• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

OFFICIAL SPYDERFEST POST -- FROM MOGANG

Let' not get all Nerky and Jervis about the weather this early in the game. I know a lot about weather and the thing I know the most is it changes all the time. I don't want to hype myself up this early about what will and won't be. For every day prior, the error of weather forecasting is -20%. We are now Ten days away from the big event. Ten times 20% is 200%. So the forecast for the first day of the big event is 200% wrong.

Go directly to the fridge, get out a Beer, pop the top and for God Sake stop worrying about some thing you can't control or do anything about. If that don't work, have another Beer.
:joke: Then go out and check the tail on the Donkey on the weather meter. Remember those? It tells you how much the wind is blowing!

Jack:D

F4 Customs

F4 is getting ready for Spyder Fest and looking forward to seeing all of you there. We will have plenty of the RT and F3 windshield on board for install and we are currently working on the new F3 Touring model which will be out in 2 months. Hope to see you there.

Lamplighter

I noticed that there were events going on for those staying at the Best Western, does anyone know if there are similar functions going on at the Lamplighter North? (I looked through the threads and found nothing for Lamplighter and figured I'd try this thread first to see if any events specific to Lamplighter North)

Just a few thousand miles

Trailered the Spyder to Maggie Valley last week and spent 4 days touring the area. It was spectacular and the weather cooperated 100% against the weatherman's forecast. Trailering there we hit a blizzard in Flagstaff Az. then high winds and rain the next two days. It was all worth it once we got to Maggie Valley and the sun shined every day. Got in about 1,000 miles of touring. Just arrived in Eureka Springs where I will spend the next 3 days before heading up to Springfield and SpyderFest 2016. Don't really care about the weather. Riding rain or shine. Make the best of whatever we are dealt. This will likely be my one and only SpyderFest and nothing is going to rain on my parade.

While in Maggie Valley we did The Tail of the Dragon, The Rattler up to Hot Springs, Diamondback, Little Switzerland, The Moonshiner, 90 miles of the Blue Ridge Parkway and State Rt. 63 off of the Rattler.

Ready to spend some money on Farkles at SpyderFest.

Lets Party with a Positive Attitude!!!!

A suggestion for Spyderfest 2017 and beyond.

A suggestion for future events:

If an event is being held please post a side note saying that the event will occur rain or shine.

Tonight in the rain and storms we kept waiting for a text message saying that the event at THE LODGE was canceled due to the lightening and rains. NO message came through other then the message saying it was being held tonight.

We weren't sure if the bonfire and fireworks would still go on with the rain so not sure if we should have driven out there or not. SO we canceled and turned around and. Are back to the hotel.

So knowing that events were still going on regardless of rain or not would have been nice to know about.

Sorry we missed the "Gang" tonight at Len's Lodge. ;)

Yeah, I thought there'd be a text message alert regarding that one but never saw one.

I didn't know it was reset for after the auction tonight until I heard someone say something while we were leaving to head to hotel to pack up to hit the road in the AM.

Oh well.
