• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Offical Spyder Owners Event Dates for Durango 2012- June 20-21-22

Anyone from Western Canada going ?

I was wondering if there is anyone going from Western Canada? Looking at joining anyone going to the event.

Max I'm in Calgary, the plan right now is to leave Saturday to be in Durango Tuesday night and leave at noonish on Friday hope to be home Sunday night or Monday if my butt needs a rest.

Cancelled Knights Inn and got 2 rooms at Ramada for Thursday and Friday nights.

Here's a basic ride plan we're taking to get there:

http://rideplanner.harley-davidson.com/rideplanner/road.jsp?roadId=449590&locale=en_US

About 3,600 miles to get to Durango, then another 900 or so to get home.... should be a good time!

Anyone been to any of these areas----- any input is WELCOME!
Better take another peek. It is about 1,500 miles to home from Durango. The way the HD Planner shows the mileage is deceiving.

im in for the trip

Just booked my room today at the Ramada Limited Durango. I will be leaving Sherwood Park Alberta and heading to Cowtown in Cuba to have some work done on the bike. Will be leaving June 12th, giving myself 3 days to get to Cuba then the guys will work on the bike for the day. Spend the weekend in Cuba and head out Monday with the Mo Gang to the owners event. Cant wait it is going to be a great 2 weeks. Total km for the trip should be around 7500km, this is going to be awesome :yes::yes:

There will be a group of us from Sacramento traveling thru Northern NV on the 17th. We plan to stay overnight in Elko.

Great. Would you consider picking up a couple of other Spyders on the way? I might know of others that might like to join. If so, let me know. You can pm me if you would like. Marciana
:)

I went ahead and booked at the Ramada Limited in Durango. Advance purchase means a 20% discount, but no refunds. Look forward to seeing all you great folks in a few short months!

I haven't seen any festivities or events, but I am personally considering a day trip over to see the Grand Canyon since I've never seen it in person. Looks like About a four hour ride one way??

Yeah I have been thinking about day trips myself but I hadn't thought about grand canyon. I may check in Monday so I can go to pikes peak and now thinking about the grand canyon. Lots of nice rides starting to take shape.

Telluride
Wolf Creek Pass
Black Canyon
Lake City
Ouray / Silverton
Colorado National Monument (long day ryde, but perhaps an overnight)

Even planning your way to or from Durango, there are great places to ryde through such as Independence Pass / Aspen, the Vail / Breckenridge area and Rocky Mtn National Park and a lot of great destinations like Pike's Peak, Mt. Evans and more. I've been out here since '95 and can't get in enough local riding each year.

Spend an exta week in Colorado... if you have the time, it's that good!!!!

Yep! If you organize it, I'd like to join you. I've never seen the Grand Canyon either so it would be a great ride.
