There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Offical Spyder Owners Event Dates for Durango 2012- June 20-21-22

I realize this is probably a dumb question but will the spyder start coughing for lack af air in Durango and the mts getting there??? I had a 350 eng in a 73 Chev Truck that had problems going from San Diago to Prescott. Got in the mountains ( and they aren't THAT big) and she coughed up a storm had to have a mechanic look her over. Seems the float was not doing it's thing? or something. Just wondering if my "Vovlo" will hack and cough up them thar hills!! Esp. since she's pulling my fat butt and a trailer which I will probably overload!!

Having taken our Spyder over 11,000' I don't think you'll even notice a change in how your Spyder runs. The Spyder has fuel injection, while your '73 Chevy likely had a carburetor, jets and other stuff I don't understand, but which did not tolerate large changes in altitude without changing parts or tuning.

Sorry for the delay ..I'm still working on getting back home from New Orleans. I will look into getting a group rate. We may want to consider Sandia Resort and Casino, as that is literally right off I-25 and would be a great rally point

As for anyone wanting to ride to the crest of Sandia mountain--count me in! I love that ride, and would be happy to play tour guide. We should stop at Tinkertown on the way up the mountain.

Maybe at some point we should take a poll of how many riders are going to do the Albuquerque route-just to get a general idea and head count. Probably want to do it soon if you are going to try and get a group rate at a hotel locked in. It would probably be helpful to have a count when you approach a hotel so they can block off some rooms. I'd rather plan sooner rather than later-got my rooms in Durango-but haven't locked in Albuquerque. Easy enough to get a room anywhere there, but I would rather stay with other Spyder folks. Hopefully bringing four to five Spyders out of DFW. Count me in for Mt. Sandia and any other area rides. I love Albuquerque! So much that our plans are to be there Sunday afternoon. Gonna be fun! Thanks for taking point on this by the way ABQ_Spyderman.

Woo-Hoo! Have two rooms reserved at the Ramada Limited from Sunday the 19 to Friday morning. Was able to reserve the $87.20 (20% discounted rate on the website), without having to make a deposit or comply with the no-refund-no-way policy. All I have to do is give them 24 hours notice, but shouldn't have to worry about it.

Just reserved at the Ramada Limited Durango there with a hold with my cc, from Tuesday the 19th to friday the 22nd. By reserving 3 nights I get the $87.20 rate but if I change it to 2 nights it could revert to $ 98. I also can cancel up to 24 hours in advance no prob.

Spyder Ryders of North Texas will be there...lets plan to all meet in Albuquerque

The plan for now is that we will ride into Amarillo on June 16th Saturday and stay the night, then June 17th head to Albuquerque, NM and determine from there when we will ride up to Durango, Colorado with Lamont and everyone else. While waiting for Lamont and crew to show up, we will ride the local mountain routes around Albuquerque.

I say " me too "

tinkertown is a cool place, will be fun to ride to the crest on 3 wheels, have done it on 2 several times

Just made reservations at the Knights Inn for the rate of $55.20 plus $16.39 in taxes. :gaah:They do a 24 hr. cancellation policy according to the web site and my confirmation. Ready or not here we come.

Count in all of us from Dallas/Fort Worth for Sandia/Tinkertown. Our group will be in Albuquerque Sunday night-3 Spyders so far for sure. If anyone wants to do any rides anytime Sunday evening or Monday, let us know.

I'm up for anything Monday after 5pm and all day Tuesday! I'm thinking Tuesday would be a great day to meet up for breakfast and then go do NM 337, the crest, and the turquoise trail to Madrid for lunch! Also--if we have time--I would love to take you to Tierre Verde--a fun little stretch of twisties that takes you to the base of the La Luz Trail.

Count me in!

Cancelled Knights Inn and got 2 rooms at Ramada for Thursday and Friday nights.

Here's a basic ride plan we're taking to get there:

http://rideplanner.harley-davidson.com/rideplanner/road.jsp?roadId=449590&locale=en_US

About 3,600 miles to get to Durango, then another 900 or so to get home.... should be a good time!

Anyone been to any of these areas----- any input is WELCOME!

I say there BRO....
Your ride looks like a mini-spyder triangle ride... I do hope you enjoy it as much as I did with an exception or two.

Just be safe,
